Overview
BGLiD is a client verification service that assists in verifying the identity of a client or potential client.
This verification process utilises FrankieOne's data, which checks an individual's details over a number of databases related to Government IDs, Anti Money Laundering, Global Sanctions, and Adverse News.
The base price for verification is $7 plus GST.
Note: Supported ID Types
The following ID types are currently supported by BGLiD:
- AU passport
- AU drivers license
- Passports of other countries registered with the Australian Government
- Australian Medicare Card (this is only available if a Passport or Driver's License is also selected)
The style of identification can differ slightly depending on the identification type.

Requesting Verification:
You can click the "Request ID Verification" button as many times as needed. Each time they do, an email is sent to the contact requesting them to verify their identity.
No Action Taken:
If the contact does not complete the verification by clicking the link in the email and submitting documents, no verification attempt is counted, and no further action is taken.
If the contact takes no action, Simple Fund 360/Simple Invest 360 will automatically send out a reminder after 14 days.
Verification Attempt:
Once the contact clicks a verification link and completes the process, it is counted as one verification attempt, regardless of whether the verification is successful or not.
Failed Verification:
If the verification fails for any reason, BGLiD will automatically send a follow-up email titled "Please Resubmit Unsuccessful Identity Verification."
This follow-up email is sent at no additional cost. If this second attempt also fails, any further requests sent to this contact will be at a cost.
Step 1: Send the BGLiD Request
- Find and select the desired Contact.
- Once on the Contact's screen, select Request ID Verification:
- Select the desired ID check.
- Then, from the drop-down, choose how many source IDs are required for the verification. Then select send verification request. The email template sent can be edited via the Email Template screen found under Settings. For more information, click here.
Note: Void Pending BGLiD Verifications
Pending BGLiD requests can be cancelled/voided on the Contacts Screen.
Locate and select the contact in question, select the Compliance tab in the window that pops up, then select Void Verification Request:
- REQUESTING FOR IDENTIFICATION ONLY -
The email received contains a link to complete the identity verification process that was requested:
Clicking the link will redirect to a new webpage.
- Click Send Code. This sends a six-digit authentication code to your email.
- Successfully entering the authentication code brings you to the Identity Verification screen:
Biometric Scanning differences
If Biometric scanning was selected, you will be prompted to continue with the process on your mobile phone.
Select the document to upload.
Using your phone, take the required pictures of the selected identification document.
Once the Identification document has been scanned and uploaded, you will be required to take a picture of yourself. - Click Add Identification, then select the identification document:
- The selected document field will display. Enter the necessary details then click

- The consent pop-up window will display. Ensure to read and understand the terms of consent, then if satisfied, click Consent & Submit:
A message will be displayed and the identity verification information will be sent to Simple Fund 360 / Simple Invest 360:
Step 3: Identity Verification Result is Received in Simple Fund 360

Once the Identity Verification process has been completed, the Contact Compliance Screen will display the information from the Identity Verification check.
You can also filter to see which contacts that have had a BGLiD check processed, on the top right of the contacts screen, click . Then select the BGLiD status to only display the contacts that have that status.
Click on the individual contact, then select the Verification tab.
The BGLiD Individual verification report will be displayed.
The report will show which checks were completed and the results of the checks.
ID Verification Status Report
The ID Verification Status Report will list the status of every contact's BGLiD check, allowing for the quick and easy view of contacts that have used BGLiD, and whether the check has passed, failed or still pending.

On the top of the Contacts screen is the Generate Report button.
Click on the drop-down to select the file format (PDF or Excel) and the report will be generated.
