Support Query
After submitting a release authority statement (RAS) message, the transaction received an error response from the ATO with the following information:
Error Code: SUPER.GEN.GEN.20
Short Description: Unknown property within PartProperties.
Detailed Description: eb:property {property} within eb:PartProperties is unknown and cannot be processed
The Issue
The ATO has rejected the RAS message as the ESA held within the ATO’s database does not match with the ESA in the RAS message.
The ATO may be holding a different ESA for the fund other than the BGLSF360 ESA.
Solution
1. Contact the ATO to update the ESA for the fund, this can be done via the below methods:
- Through a registered agent via the tax agent portal
- Contact ATO via phone: 13 10 20 – you must be the authorised contact for your SMSF
- By lodging the paper form Change of details for superannuation entities (NAT 3036) (PDF, 605KB).
Refer to Changes to your SMSF for more information.
2. In Simple Fund 360, select the transaction and click on ‘Re–send Release Authority’
*right-click to open the image in a new tab
3. This will create a new RAS message, you will need to Save & Submit this message.
Important
The Re-send Release Authority function will create a new release authority statement (RAS) message with a NEW Payment Reference Number (PRN)
If payment has NOT been made to the ATO, please provide this NEW payment reference number to the trustee / financial planner. The electronic payment reference must match the NEW payment reference number. You should wait for the RAS message to be successfully accepted prior to making payment to the ATO.
If payment has already been made with the previous PRN as the bank reference, you will need to contact and advise the ATO, where they can then reconcile the payment and message manually.
