This Validation Error occurs when the agent number used with your ABN or credential is not related.
How to resolve this Validation Error
To resolve this tax return validation error, follow the steps below:
- Check the ABN. Make sure that the ABN listed in the ATO Portal matches the ABN of the lodging party contact in Simple Fund 360. Any discrepancies here can cause the validation error.
- Verify the Tax Agent Number. Go to the Lodging Party screen and confirm that the Tax Agent Number is correct. An incorrect number can prevent the tax return from validating.
- Update the Lodging Party Details. In the tax return, navigate to Tax Compliance > Section K. Ensure that the fund is correctly linked to the appropriate lodging party.
- Save the Tax Return. Once all updates are made, save the tax return page. This will ensure all the latest information is applied before validation.
- Validate the Tax Return. After saving, run the validation again. If all details are correct, the tax return should now validate successfully without any errors.
