Changing an investment account from unitised to non-unitised or vice versa can be easily done from within the Chart of Accounts
To access the Chart of Accounts, please take the following steps
| From the Main Toolbar, hover the cursor over the Accounting icon |  |
| From the side menu, select Chart of Accounts |  |
Once you have accessed the Chart of Accounts, please take the following steps set out to change whether an investment account is unitised or non-unitised
- From within the Chart of Accounts, locate the account that you wish to alter and select it by clicking on the row in which it appears.
- Within the initial Edit Investment Account screen, select More Details at the bottom of the screen.
- Select the drop-down box for System - More Details Label:. Change from non-unitised to unitised investment or vice versa. Once you have completed this step, be sure to select Save at the bottom of the screen for the change to come into effect.
Note that for a unitised account, you need to record at least one unit on hand in order for the system to recognize its value or cost base, otherwise, the system will assume its value is nil since no units were recorded on it.
