I have received validation error CMN.ATO.SMSFAR.436670 when validating The SMSF Annual Return.

Solution

This error is generated where a fund has non-deductible expenses of less than $1 as the system rounds down to $0 (resulting in the fund having zero non-deductible expenses). This can occur where the fund has minimal expenses and an extremely low general expenses percentage input in Fund Pension Policies.

A fund that has exempt current pension income but zero non-deductible expenses will not pass validation. Please contact BGL Support for more information on how to resolve this issue by Logging a Support Call.
