When validating the tax return, the following error comes up:
CMN.ATO.SMSFAR.436632: Account status must be 'Closed' if closing account balance is nil and account has outgoing amounts - If member is not deceased and account has amounts at 'Outward amounts less any rolled out contributions' or ' Lump sum payment' or 'Income stream payment', and 'Closing account balance' is zero then Member account status code must be 'closed'
Member - Account Status
If a member has left the fund or is deceased, you need to ensure that the member's balance is zero and that an "End Date" has been entered for that member under Member List.
For deceased members, you also need to input a Date of Death under Settings | Contacts for that person.
If the fund has been wound up, the balance for all members should be zero and an "End Date" must be input for all members.
You will need to reverse and re-create entries for the member section to update in the tax return.
The Account Status should display as 'Closed' in the tax return for that member.
