When validating the tax return, I receive the following error:

CMN.ATO.SMSFAR.436574: Net capital gain in return must equal net capital gain in CGT schedule - Net capital gain amount on the company return must equal the net capital gain amount on the CGT schedule

Solution

This validation indicates that the amount shown in capital gains schedule does not match the Capital Gains Reconciliation Report.

If the capital gains schedule has been manually adjusted to restore the original calculations please reverse and re-create entries for the fund. Once complete please validate the SMSF Annual Return.
