Validation Error
When validating the SMSF Annual Return, you may see the following error:
CMN.ATO.SMSFAR.436574: Net capital gain in return must equal net capital gain in CGT schedule - The net capital gain amount on the company return must match the net capital gain amount on the CGT schedule.
How to resolve the Validation Error
If the Capital Gains Schedule was manually adjusted, reverse and re-create the entries for the fund. After completing this, validate the SMSF Annual Return again.
Additionally, use the Capital Gains Reconciliation report, to review the amounts entered Labels 1J, 2E, 4A, 5D and 6A. Adjust the amounts in Labels 1J, 2E, 4A, 5D and 6A to resolve the rounding error.
