The ATO has rejected TBAR lodgment due to the following reason; "Please contact your software developer. The file size is not a correct multiple of the record length".
Cause of the issue
The most common cause of the issue is an invalid character in one of the contacts of the fund.
To fix this issue: check the contacts of the the fund from the Fund Relationships screen.
To resolve this issue follow the steps outlined below
1. Navigate to the Fund Relationships screen.
|From the Main Toolbar, go to Fund.
|Select Fund relationships from the list.
2. Go through all of the Contacts on the Fund Relationships screen to check for any invalid characters. To view contact details on the Fund Relationship screen, however over the Contact and then select the Edit icon.
3. Once the invalid character has been identified, remove the invalid character, then select Save changes
4. Once the adjustments have been made please Reprepare the TBAR event from the TBAR Management screen.
