accountantsGPS has integrated with BGL Simple Fund 360 to enable users to create fast, comprehensive and compliant Check-up reports of funds they administer. Integration with BGL Simple Fund 360 means that users can offload the burden of reviewing hours of information, and simply produce the report at the click of a button.
Overview of the AccountantsGPS Integration
The accountantsGPS platform was designed to analyse a Self-Managed Superannuation Fund from the perspective of a Financial Planner. It does this by producing an automate digital 'Check-up' report that reviews the health of a fund and identifies key opportunities for the administrator to engage across topics such as contributions, trust documents, estate planning, retirement strategies, performance and more. The report does not make actual financial advice recommendations and therefore does not require an AFSL - we work with specialist financial services lawyers to ensure everything remains compliant, as we hold an AFSL.
The platform can only work thanks to the integration with BGL Simple Fund 360. When you create an account, you will be asked to authenticate your BGL Simple Fund 360 account by logging in with your normal credentials. From here, you will be able to simply select one of your funds, click a button, and all of the information we need will be passed from BGL Simple Fund 360, into our calculation engine where the report can be automatically generated saving you a lot of time.
How to Connect AccountantsGPS to Simple Fund 360
Before you begin
The Self-Managed Superannuation Fund or Funds that you wish to share with accountantsGPS must already exist within your Simple Fund 360 license.
Steps
- Navigate to the accountantsGPS website - https://www.app.accountantsgps.com.au/
- If you don’t already have an account, Select Create Account and enter your details. If you already have an account, Select Sign In.
- Give consent to AccountantsGPS to access your account by selecting Connect Your BGL Account

In Simple Fund 360, Authorise the connection between Simple Fund 360 and accountantGPS.
Only Admins and users with the ‘Connect third-party applications’ permission enabled can view this pop-up. - A verification code will be sent to your email address from accountantsGPS. Enter this code in the accountantsGPS website to confirm your details.

How do I change the assigned funds that accountantsGPS have access to?
- From the BGL Integrations page, navigate to the Connected Apps.
- Locate the AccountantGPS application and click Edit.
- To update access, click Edit next to Assigned Entities.
- Entities under ENABLED ENTITIES are accessible to the application.
- Entities under DISABLED ENTITIES are not accessible.
- If you enable Allow future entities to be accessible by default, any new entities added to your firm will automatically be enabled.
- After any changes have been made, press Save
