Member components must equal members balance

I have posted an entry to the debit side of a member account. My member components match the debit entry, yet I am receiving the the error message "member components must equal members balance". 

Solution

Depending on which account you're posting to, the member components on the debit side in some instances are negative. Once the member components are entered as negative, you will be able to post the transaction. 

For example, say you're moving a reserve balance from one fund to another. Reserve's have a credit balance, so in debiting this account, the member components would be a negative, as seen below. 

Once the member components are entered as negatives, you will be able to post the entry.
