Information
1. By default, only Admin users have the ability to delete funds. However, the ability to delete funds can be switched on for employees. Refer to User Roles.
2. The fund count can be found in the top right-hand corner of the Entity Selection page.
3. When a fund has been accidentally migrated from Simple Fund Desktop to Simple Fund 360. Please delete the fund from Simple Fund 360 and continue your work on Simple Fund Desktop.
Deleted funds can't be restored in Simple Fund 360; please consider this prior to removal.
The following will be removed when a fund is deleted and cannot be restored:
- All Transaction Data
- All CGT Data
- All Financial Reports
BGL recommends that you take the following precautions prior to deleting a fund:
- Export all transaction lists and CGT registers out of Simple Fund 360 as either a PDF or Excel files.
- Transfer the fund being deleted to another Firm. Please see Fund Transfer for more information.
- Run reports for the fund and store these externally to Simple Fund 360.
Note: It is not possible to store a backup of a Fund in Simple Fund 360.
See below the set of Recommended Reports to export prior to deleting a fund, in order to create the fund again if necessary.
Instructions
Before you delete a fund in Simple Fund 360, we recommend exporting the following reports from the Reports screen. This is so that if a fund needs to be restored, we are able to use these reports to enter opening balances for the fund.
- Note: when entering in opening balances, this does not include the full transactional history of the fund.
We recommend exporting the reports based on when the fund was last finalised, and ensuring the reports exported are un-rounded. The reports we recommend are

A fund can be deleted in two ways below. One is through Entity Selection and the other is through Entity Workflow.
From the Main Toolbar, select Home. |

1. Select the checkbox to the left of the fund(s) to delete.
2. Select the Delete button.
3. A confirmation box will appear to confirm that the fund selected will be deleted within 24 hours.
There will also be an option to cancel the fund's SuperStream registration in SF360, this will automatically be toggled on. This will not deregister the fund in the ATO's database, only in SF360.

1. Select the three-dotted icon beside a fund.
2. Select Delete Fund.
3. A confirmation box will appear to confirm that the fund selected will be deleted within 24 hours.
There will also be an option to cancel the fund's SuperStream registration in SF360, this will automatically be toggled on. This will not deregister the fund in the ATO's database, only in SF360.

Deleting a Fund in Simple Fund 360 is not Working
The following are steps that be done if a fund has not been deleted in 24 hours.
1. Remove the Wind-up date in the Fund Details screen.
2. Remove all fund relationships from the Fund Relationship screen.
3. Ensure there are no part-way create entries in the Period Compliance screen.
- Entries need to be created to year-end (i.e. 30/06/20XX) for a fund to be deleted.
- If entries have been created part-way through the year, you will need to either create entries to year-end or reverse entries to year-end (i.e. 30/06/20XX).
4. Ensure all revaluations from the Property Dashboard are removed.
5. Archive any SuperStream Transactions where an action is required on the SuperStream Dashboard.
