Overview
Transaction Recode will give you the ability to move in bulk, transactions from one account to another at the click of a button.
This will save you a huge amount of time when fixing up an incorrect account recorded in any of the following scenarios:
- Uploading a CSV file
- Migrating a fund
- Manually coding entries
Supported Accounts
The Transaction Recode process can only be completed to accounts of the same type.
As an example, Unitised Investments can only be recoded to other unitised investment accounts.
The following accounts are supported by the Transaction Recode feature:
- Asset*
- Expense*
- Income*
- Unitised Investments (including linked accounts and balance history)
- Non-unitised Investments (including linked accounts and balance history)
- Liability*

From the Main Toolbar, go to Accounting. |

Instructions
- Select Start New Transaction Recode:
- Next, select which type of account you wanted tor recode:
- In the section marked
, select the account you wanted to change:
Any linked accounts to the account you select will be displayed underneath:
- In the section marked
, select the new account for the transaction recode:
- Review the details for this Transaction Recode.
Once satisfied, in the bottom-right corner click Next.
- A popup window will display stating the data that will move based on your Transaction Recode:
Select Confirm.
A summary will appear including the user which actioned the change:
Clicking this change will display further details, which may include warnings requiring your attention:
Delete/Reverse a Transaction Recode
Deletion or Reversal of a previously completed Transaction Recode is done by processing another Transaction Recode back to the original account.
In the above example, account 77600/NAB.AX was reclassified to account 77600/TLS.AX.
To reverse, complete a reclassification from 77600/TLS.AX to 77600/NAB.AX.
Unitised Investment to non-unitised investment
Please note that moving from a unitised investment to a non-unitised investment (including Banks and Term deposits) cannot be reversed.
