Overview
Simple Fund 360 posts automatic revaluation journals for investments when system revaluations occur — for example, through daily automatic revaluation or as part of the Create Entries process. These are recorded as system journals.
If an auto investment revaluation has been posted in error, it can usually be resolved in one of two ways:
Delete the system journal, or
Recreate entries (if the journal was generated via Create Entries)
Option 1: Delete the Auto Revaluation Journal
Filter System Journals
Tick System Journal
-
Untick other transaction types (e.g. Journal, Bank Statement, Corporate Action)
Delete the Entries
tick the relevant journal(s)
Click Delete
Option 2: Recreate Entries (If Created via Create Entries)
If the revaluation was generated through the Create Entries process, the recommended approach is often to:
Run Create Entries again
When you re-run Create Entries, the system:
Recalculates all investment balances
Revalues securities to their current market value (MV)
Automatically corrects any incorrect system-generated revaluation entries
Ensures the ledger reflects the most up-to-date pricing
In many cases, this process will self-correct the revaluation, making manual deletion unnecessary.
