When trying to delete a member I receive the error: "Member is part of a prior create entries period" and cannot be deleted.
Solution 1
When attempting to delete the member account the error "this member cannot be deleted as the member is part of a prior create entries processed for the fund" is received.
When the Member Account has a Nil Balance, you may elect to make the account inactive, to do this Navigate to the Members Screen edit on the member account and input an End Date against the member account. This will make the member account inactive going forward.
Solution 2
To permanently delete the member account, firstly check if Create Entries has been processed in the Current Period. Reverse Entries in the current period if required.
Navigate to the Transaction Listing Screen, select System Journal as a filter.
Update the Transaction dates to account for future transactions.
You will need to delete all journals allocated to the member account. You will now be able to delete the Member Account.
It is not recommended to make changes in previous years after the fund has been audited and the annual returns have been lodged.
