Overview
If the Close Period button is missing from the Period Compliance screen, this is usually because the fund is not set to the correct financial year. You can only close the current financial year.
Note: This issue is not related to a financial year that has already been closed.
Why this happens
The Close Period button is only available when:
The fund’s Financial Year (FY) matches the period you are attempting to close
The fund has not already been rolled forward to another financial year
If the fund is set to a future or previous financial year (for example, showing 2026 or 2024 when you are trying to close 2025), the button will not be available.
This differs from a scenario where the financial year has already been closed, in which case the Close Period action has already been completed.
How to resolve
Step 1: Check the fund’s current Financial Year
| From the Main Toolbar, navigate to Fund. | ![]() |
| Select Fund details | ![]() |
Check the Financial Year shown on the screen
Ensure this matches the year you want to close. If it does not, update the dates:
Update the Financial Year to the year you want to close (e.g. 2025)
Click Save Changes
Return to Period Compliance once this has been updated.
Step 2: Close the period
Navigate to Period Compliance
Select Close Period
