Query
I have just uploaded a broker CSV file and a few of the transactions are not auto-matching.
I have just uploaded buys and sells from the Contract Notes feed and a few of the transactions are not auto-matching.
I have Investment Income Generation entries that are not matching expected transactions.
Solution
For investment matching, Simple Fund 360 compares the bank transaction date against the investment’s settlement date. If there is a difference, the transaction will not automatically match.
Simple Fund 360 does allow a 1-day tolerance, meaning the dates must either be the same or differ by no more than one day for an automatic match to occur.
If transactions do not match automatically:
- Users can manually match them using the Search function within Smart Matching.
- Always verify the Date Payable (for income) and settlement date (for trades) are correct and consistent with bank statements and contract notes.
- If the transaction already exists in the Transaction List, do not create a duplicate entry from the feed or generation screen.
Example
You upload a broker CSV showing a share purchase with a settlement date of 10 March, but the bank transaction is dated 11 March.
- Because the difference is 1 day, Simple Fund 360 may still allow automatic matching.
- If the settlement date was 9 March instead, the transaction would not auto-match due to exceeding the 1-day tolerance. In this case, you would manually match via Smart Matching.
Investment Income Generation
If Investment Income Generation entries are also involved in the same reconciliation process:
- Do not post unmatched or duplicate grey rows if the income already exists in the Transaction List.
- Always reconcile against the bank statement first and ensure the Date Payable aligns correctly.
- Posting from Investment Income Generation will bring in the full amount, which may result in duplicated or overstated income.
