Unable to prepare / download / produce reports when using Internet Explorer (IE) or Edge browsers.
Solution
This error is caused by a current issue with Amazon where users of an IE/Edge browser (in Advanced Settings) have the option "Help Protect me from malicious sites and download with windows Defender Smart Scan" switched on.
To resolve:
- Add the following URL as a trusted site via Internet Settings >> Securities:
https://s3.ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com - Please refer this to an IT representative of your firm for assistance if you are unable to locate the Internet Settings for your computer.
Additional Information
If the above does not resolve your issue, untick the option "Rely on system fonts only, do not use document fonts".
- Open Control Panel >> Devices and Printers >> View all Devices & Printers.
- Search for the PDF device used by your computer such as Microsoft PDF or Adobe PDF.
- Right click the device in step 2 above and select Printing Preferences.
- Untick "Rely on system fonts only, do not use document fonts" and then select OK.
