When uploading transactions using the CSV Importer, I receive the following error upon upload:
"Transactions not Imported - XX Transactions are not in readable format."
Solution
This error is generated due to the data within the file is unreadable. The file will need to be edited and re-saved before being uploaded again. Possible scenarios below result in the error being received:
- All transactions within the CSV file will need to use the dd/mm/yyyy format. If transactions from the start of the month are using the format d/mm/yyyy, they will not upload. The CSV file will need to be edited and the date formats amended.
- DR and CR amounts should not be surrounded by quotation marks (for example, "1,200"). This can occur for CSV files as when they are generated quotation marks are used to keep the figure in the one column. To resolve, remove the quotation marks and re-upload the CSV.
- Ensure no columns within the CSV file are hidden. Within the CSV file, adjust the column width to display all relevant columns and then re-upload the CSV.
