$1.6 Million Pension Balance Letter and Resolution – Simple Fund 360 Knowledge Centre

Overview

Get ahead of the Superannuation Reforms with a new custom Member Request Letter and Trustee Minute/Resolution for members who have pension balances greater than $1.6 million at 30 June 2017.

Important: Individuals will need to be selected in Settings prior to the preparation of the documents. See below for full instructions.

The following improvements have been made to the Letter and Minute/Resolution:

An option has been added to the Settings of the documents to select the ordering of all available pension accounts.
The option to prepare the document as a Minute has been added.
The Trustee Acknowledgement section of the Minute/Resolution wording has been changed to display the ordering of pension accounts selected for the transfer. The Letter has also been updated to include this text change as well.
An option for "Cash Out" amounts over $1.6 million has been added (alongside the existing Commutation option) which can be selected in Settings prior to the preparation of these documents.

From the Main Toolbar, go to Reports.
Select Reports.

Instructions

1. On the left hand side of the Reports screen, search for the Report.
2. Select the green arrow to add the report to the Report Pack List.
Complete the Settings for the Letter. Select Settings.

Letter Settings:
Complete the settings for the Minute/Resolution. Select Settings. Minute/Resolution Settings:

The following options can be changed for the Letter and Minute/Resolution:
- An option has been added to the Settings of the documents to select the ordering of all available pension accounts. Use the drag and drop function (click to hold each pension account) to order the accounts);
- The option to prepare the document as a Minute/Resolution;
- An option for "Cash Out" amounts over $1.6 million has been added (alongside the existing Commutation option) which can be selected in Settings prior to the preparation of these documents;
- Ensure a member is selected (checkbox to the let of the members name).
Select OK. Select Preview Reports to view. These documents can also form part of a Report Pack. Refer to Reports.
