Overview
Task Triggers are designed to alter the Job Status of a job when a certain task is completed. This allows users to know when the next action can take place in the workflow. A task can also be triggered to be completed automatically based on certain events within the system.
Custom Task Triggers can be created within the Job Screen in order to change the Job Status of the Job. Users are able to create a custom Job Status, to further tailor Workflow to your firm's requirements.
System Templates will have Task Triggers already created within Jobs.
How to create a Task Trigger
Creating a Task Trigger needs to be completed within a Job Screen.
The Task Triggers are located in the far right column on the Task List.
Selecting the Trigger Box will provide the user the option to generate two different Task Triggers a System Event and Update Job status trigger.
System Event Trigger
Once the system recognizes that a certain system event has taken place within the entity this will automatically complete the task. If an Update Job Status trigger is attached to the System Event Trigger, it will also post alongside.
The System Events are; Workpapers ready for review, Workpapers completed, and Lodgment.
Updating Job Status Trigger
A Task Trigger can also be used to notify that when the task is completed, it will also update the Job Status icon. This feature can be utlise to provide a visual icon of what needs to be completed.
