Two enhancements are coming to Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) direct bank feeds in Simple Fund 360: digital authorisation through the CommBank app, and financial year statements delivered into Simple Fund 360.

SMSFs in Simple Fund 360 only. These enhancements aren't available in Simple Invest 360 or for other entity types.
Did my clients receive an email from CBA?
CBA has emailed some account holders with eligible accounts connected to a bank feed about these changes. The email is legitimate.
Your clients may not recognise BGL, because BGL provides the bank feed to you rather than to them. If they contact you, let them know you use Simple Fund 360 to manage their SMSF, and that you set up an automated bank feed for their CBA account with their authority.
No action needed for existing feeds
Existing CBA bank feeds keep working as they are. You and your clients don't need to do anything.
Digital authorisation (expected mid to late November 2026)
To set up a CBA bank feed today, account holders sign an authority form that allows CBA to send read-only bank feed transactions to Simple Fund 360.
With the new option, account holders can authorise a new CBA bank feed in the CommBank app. They won't need to print, sign and upload an authority form.
The current bank feed authority form will still be available.
Statements delivered to Simple Fund 360 (expected by mid-December 2026)
Your clients' 2026 financial year (FY26) statements will be delivered straight into Simple Fund 360, so you'll spend less time chasing documents at year-end.
FY26 statements will be available for accounts that had an active bank feed during the 2026 financial year.
When will these enhancements be available?
The dates above are estimates. BGL will let you know when each enhancement is live, and this article will be updated with instructions.
