Overview
To support Open Banking, certain actions must be completed for ANZ Bank before authorisation can be granted, allowing BGL and Skript to receive bank data.
Pre-Consent: What needs to be done before Authorisation?
For business, trust or other organisation type (including SMSFs)
- Must have at least one Nominated Representative.
- Must have at least one open account in ANZ Internet Banking for Business
Administrators in ANZ Internet Banking for Business can appoint one or more individuals (Administrators/Authorisors) to be Nominated Representative to share data on behalf of the business.
Appoint a Nominated Representative
- Access your Internet Banking for Business, select ‘Manage users’ from the ‘Settings’ section
- Select the user whose access you wish to update
- Select ‘Edit’
- Click ‘Yes’ on Data sharing access.
- Review the changes you have made, then select ‘Save’.
Note: Only an Administrator has this functionality.
If you do not have access to ANZ Internet Banking for Business, please contact your ANZ Relationship Manager to gain access and ensure to appoint yourself as the Administrator.
For individual, joint account and sole trader:
- Must be 18 years old or over
- Must have a valid mobile phone number (required to support authentication using a One-Time Password)
- Must have access to ANZ App, ANZ Internet Banking or ANZ Internet Banking for Business
You should be able complete the data sharing consent process immediately via ANZ App, ANZ Internet Banking or ANZ Internet Banking for Business.
Account Eligibility
To share your data for an account, the account must meet the eligibility criteria below:
- It must be either an open account, or an account that has been closed within the last 24 months
- It must be accessible on ANZ Internet Banking, ANZ App or ANZ Internet Banking for Business
- It must be one of the following publicly offered accounts

- For solely owned accounts, it must be an account in the name of the customer (for business accounts, this is the sole trader)

For joint accounts:
- All customers must be eligible to be able to share data for the account
- All customers are a co-owner of the account or a trustee of the account (cannot be a partnership)
- Data sharing must be enabled on the account
