Support Query
A dividend transaction was automatically matched to the 23900 account. However, after reviewing the dividend components within the transaction, the Franked, Unfranked and Franking Credits amounts don't match what I calculated myself. How can I fix this?
Overview
This query could affect any investment where the dividend's franking value had decimal places (for example, 90.48%), as this value is used to calculate the Unfranked amount.
- When this occurred, the Franked, Unfranked and Franking Credit amounts on the resulting income entry are slightly understated or overstated.
This has been resolved as of 28 May 2026. New income entries will calculate correctly regardless of how many decimal places the franking value has, but existing income entries created before this date are not automatically recalculated.
- If you have an affected entry, unmatch the transaction and re-match it so the income entry is recreated using the corrected calculation. This process is outlined in the Solution section below.
Solution
- Unmatch the affected transaction(s).
- Choose one of the two methods below to re-match the transaction(s):
Selecting Request Matching will automatically re-trigger System Matching for all unmatched transactions from the last Create Entries date through to today. This can be completed on the Transaction List screen.
- See Request Matching Button for Unmatched Transactions for further instructions.
Review and match the transaction(s) from the Smart Matching screen.
- On the Smart Matching screen, click the affected transaction row to expand it.
- Review the Dividend Details. The Dividend - Franked, Dividend - Unfranked and Franking Credits fields should reflect the corrected calculation.
- Once confirmed, click Match.
Once the affected transaction(s) is matched, the dividend entry components can be reviewed on the Transaction screen.
- See Transaction Input in Simple Fund 360 for more details.
