Support Query
How do I update the security linked to an existing cryptocurrency account that will be used by Simple Fund 360 for revaluations?
Solution
Cryptocurrencies that are unitised will need to have a security attached for Simple Fund 360 to revalue the investment. Follow the steps below to edit the security attached to an Investment Account.
From the Main Toolbar, go to Accounting. |
|
Select Chart of accounts from the list. |
|
- Locate the Investment account in the chart of accounts. For example, 70040/BTC.
- Click on the investment and select More Details.
-
Use the drop-down menu, click on Securities to search and select the new Security Code to attach to the investment.
If you have previously manually added the security (e.g. BTC or ETC ), you will need to attach the updated security (e.g. BTC.COIN or ETC.COIN).
All securities related to Cryptocurrencies have .COIN at the end of the Security Code.
-
Click Save to update the investment with the correct security.
If create entries has been processed you will need to reverse and re-create entries for the change to apply. Refer to The Create Entries Process.
