There are no assets available for the cost base reset

When I click on Cost Base Reset from the Corporate Actions screen, the following message displays:

There are no assets available for the cost base reset. 

This could be due to assets available for cost base reset have already been processed or there are no assets supporting a pension income stream, which is what the transitional CGT relief applies to.

Solution

This message will display in the following cases:

1. if you have already applied for CGT relief and reset the cost base of all the fund's assets. If you need to undo and re-process the cost base reset, refer to How to reverse or undo the CGT Reset Process for more instructions, or
2. if CGT relief is not available for the selected fund. For example, if the fund does not have a pension member with a balance and is 100% accumulation, CGT relief is not available in this case.
