Change Term Deposit from unitised (account 72450) to non-unitised (account 72400)
Note: If the term deposit is linked to just one fund, refer to Transaction Recode for instructions on moving the account from 72450 to 72400. If the term deposit is linked to more than one fund, follow the below instructions:
- From the Transaction List screen, select New Transaction. From the drop down list, select Journal.
- Input the date of change and a reference number (Simple Fund 360 will automatically produce a reference number, but it is editable). You can include a description in the Description box (for example code change).
Note: If you have migrated a fund from Simple Fund Desktop use the date 30/06 of the last financial year. This will allow for comparatives in the Statement of Financial Position. - Under the Account heading, select the unitised term deposit (account 72450) from the Selectan account box. Input the number of units in the unitised term deposit (for example, 1) and input the value in the Credit column. The Disposal Details Panel will appear below. Ensure the original acquisition parcel is selected before proceeding to step 4.
- Click on the next Selectan account box. Begin typing and select the non-unitised term deposit account 72400/INVESTCODE. If you have not added the new term deposit account select Add New Investment and complete the details of the 72400 account. Refer to Investment Accounts for more.
- Input the value of the term deposit in the Debit column for account 72400.
- Select Post. You may receive the following warning if posting this transaction during a prior period (for example if you input the 30/06 date of the prior financial year in step 2):
Select Ok.
Move account from Account 60800 Term Deposits to Account 724 Fixed Interest
- From the Transaction List screen, select New Transaction. From the drop down list, select Journal.
- Input the date of change and a reference number (Simple Fund 360 will automatically produce a reference number, but it is editable). You can include a description in the Description box (for example code change).

Iand input the value in the Credit column.
- Click on the next Select an account box. Begin typing and select the Fixed Interest account 72400/INVESTCODE. If you have not added the new term deposit account select Add New Investment and complete the details of the 72400 account. Refer to Investment Accounts for more.
- Input the value of the term deposit in the Debit column for account 72400.
- Select Post. You may receive the following warning if posting this transaction during a prior period (for example if you input the 30/06 date of the prior financial year in step 2):
Select Ok.
