Entering opening investment units and cost prices from prior years
Entering opening investment units and cost prices from prior years

Hi Michael,
There are a few ways that this can be done.
You can use the Smart Docs - CGT screen to upload a supported Financial statement, and SmartDocs will read the document and generate transactions based on the information.
If you do not have a supported financial statement, then you can use the Quick Data Entry section also on the Smart Docs - CGT screen.
If the investments have Notional gains, you can use the BGL Excel (XML) Import to import the investment data.
If you would prefer to enter these transactions manually and via the transaction list, then you will need to change the financial year set in the fund details to encompass the period the historical transactions occurred (for example 01/01/2000-30/06/2022).
Once all the historical purchases have been entered, a manual revaluation journal can be processed to revalue the investments to their current value.I hope the above answers your question and if there are any further questions please reply to let me know so I may assist further
