Overview
Macquarie Accounts connected using the BGL Bank Data Service will now have six monthly statements automatically imported into the Documents screen and Workpapers. Macquarie will issue statements to BGL on a six-month basis, eliminating the need to request documents from the Trustees.
Prerequisites
- This feature is exclusively available for Macquarie accounts that have signed up with the BGL Bank Data Service.
- The Macquarie Bank Feed needs to be established by the last day of the reporting period in order for BGL to receive the Macquarie Statement. For example, by June 30th, to receive the 1 January to 30 June Statement.
- For BGL to download the Statement, the Macquarie Bank Feed needs to be active, i.e. Bank Approved or Feed Operating, otherwise the Bank Statement will not be imported.
How It Works
BGL will receive statements twice a year for active Macquarie bank feeds. These statements will cover two periods: 1 July to 31 December, and 1 January to 30 June.
From 01/07/2024 onwards, Macquarie will only provide six-monthly statements.
Note: Most Recent Statements Available
The most recent statements available are from the 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2025 period.
Once statements are available, a paperclip icon will appear against the bank feed record for users to click on to view the statement.
The Statement will automatically upload to the Document Screen, we will tag the statement’s financial year and the relevant folder (60400/BankAccount).
As we have automatically linked the Macquarie Statement for you, the Statement will also appear in the Workpapers screen under the Bank Account folder.
What if I deleted the Statement?
If statements are mistakenly deleted, please contact BGL Support for assistance in bringing the statement back into the entity.
