Solution
Historical contributions can be recorded in the previous financial years by first setting the reporting date range to the Financial Year that you would like the record the contribution.
From the Main Toolbar, navigate to Fund
Select Fund Details | |
Under Details, change the dates for the Financial Year to the period you would like to record the contribution.
Click Save Changes |
2. The contribution would then need to be entered as a Journal Entry. The contribution would be recorded as follows:
DR 49000 account
CR 24200/member account
Hover the cursor over Accounting from the main toolbar and select Transaction List
From the Transaction List, select New Transaction, and from the drop-down menu select Journal.
Enter the Journal Entry DR 49000 account CR 24200/member account |
|
Select next to the 24200 Journal Entry and enter the appropriate contribution details. |
Example: Suppose you have three years carried forward of non-concessional contributions, you can enter these contributions in the prior three financial years by following the steps above. This will show in the Contribution Dashboard.
Users also have the option to quickly update member contribution amounts using the Previous Years & External Contributions feature found in the Contribution Dashboard. (Note: Unlike the method outlined in this article, the PE and External Contribution method will not be reflected in the comparative figures found in the operating statement and member statements). See Previous Years & External Contributions for more information.
