Overview
A Class conversion imports an SMSF's historical data from Class Super into Simple Fund 360. The process uses a Class export file, a structured data file generated from the Class Super software. Having the export file and having active access to Class Super are two different things: you do not need a Class Super subscription of your own to complete the conversion in Simple Fund 360.
What You Need Before Starting
- A Class export file provided by the fund's previous accountant or administrator
- An active Simple Fund 360 subscription
- The SMSF already created in Simple Fund 360, or the ability to create it during the conversion process
The fund must be finalised in Class Super
The conversion brings across data based on when the fund was last finalised in Class Super. Current year and mid-year transactions cannot be converted. If the fund has activity in the current year, ask the previous accountant for a CSV export from Class Super, which can be imported directly into Simple Fund 360.
For instructions on generating the export file from Class Super, see the Class Conversion Data Extraction Instructions.
What If I Don't Have Access to Class Super Software?
You do not need your own Class Super login or subscription to run a conversion in Simple Fund 360. The only thing required from Class Super is the export file itself.
The export file must be generated by whoever currently administers the fund in Class Super, typically the client's previous accountant.
- Contact the previous accountant and request that they export the fund's data from Class Super and provide you with the export file.

Understanding the Difference: Export File vs. Class Super Access
| Class Export File | Active Class Super Access | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A data file exported from Class Super containing the fund's transaction and member history | A live login to the Class Super platform |
| Who needs it | You, the receiving accountant | The previous accountant or administrator |
| Required for conversion in Simple Fund 360? | Yes | No |
The export file is a snapshot of the fund's data at the time of export. Once you have it, Simple Fund 360 handles the import. You do not need ongoing or one-time access to Class Super to proceed.
Verify before lodging
Do not proceed with lodgements or financial reports until you have verified the converted data. Errors in the export file will carry through to Simple Fund 360 if not identified at this stage.
Common Issues
The import fails or returns an error
Check that the file is the correct Class export format. Class Super can produce several file types, so confirm with the previous accountant that they used the fund data export function, not a report or document export.
Member balances appear incorrect after conversion
The export file reflects the fund's data as at the date of export. If the previous accountant exported mid-year or after only partial processing, balances may be incomplete. Contact the previous accountant to confirm the export date and processing status.
Do current year and mid-year entries get converted?
Unfortunately, current year transactions cannot be converted, since the conversion brings across data based on when the fund was last finalised in Class Super. We recommend obtaining a CSV export from Class Super, which can be imported directly into Simple Fund 360.
Does investment history come across?
Yes, investment history does come across to Simple Fund 360.
The previous accountant cannot or will not provide the export file
If you are able to obtain a PDF of the financial statements, BGL can set up the fund by entering opening balances instead. Email success@bglcorp.com.au with details of your situation, and the Customer Success team will outline the options available to you.
Need Assistance?
If you require assistance at any stage of the conversion process, BGL has a dedicated team in place to help with your enquiries and get the fund converted. Contact success@bglcorp.com.au.
