Overview
Simple Fund 360 and Simple Invest 360 now support DocuSign's In-Person Digital Signing through the Digital Signing wizard.
To enable the in-person signing in DocuSign, please toggle on the function on the settings page.
IMPORTANT: To use SMS authentication for in-person signing in DocuSign, please contact your DocuSign account administration/manager to enable this function.
If you don’t have the DocuSign SMS Authentication enabled in your account and toggle on the DocuSign SMS Auth from Simple Fund 360, you will have the DocuSign ID Check landing page to prevent you from signing the document in DocuSign.

If you get this error landing page, please contact your DocuSign account administration/manager to enable the SMS feature for your DocuSign account.
Navigation
From the Main Toolbar, navigate to Reports. | |
Select Reports. | |
After selecting the reports to be digitally signed, select Digital Signing. |
On the Digital Signing Wizard screen, towards the top of the page to the right of the SMS Authentication is the In-Person Signing options. Select the button to open the pop-up.
The pop-up displays the contact(s) that have been selected to sign the documents.
- The Mobile field will display the Mobile number entered in the contact.
- The In Person Signing Toggle is to enable if the contact will be digitally signing in person.
- The Host Person is the DocuSign user that will be hosting the In person signing on their device.
- The DocuSign SMS Auth toggle will result in the contact's mobile receiving a SMS message to confirm that the contact is signing the document(s).
Once the options have been selected for each contact, select save.
The contacts that have been enabled to be signing in person will appear under the relevant reports with a symbol and in-person signer next to the email.
Clicking the button will send the documents to the Host person for the in person signing and to any other contacts if those contacts did not have in person signing toggled on.
In DocuSign
When the in-person document has been sent successfully from Simple Fund 360,
The following are the steps to access the In-person document from DocuSign.
- Login into DocuSign.
You will able to locate the In-person document by heading to Agreements and then clicking on Inbox.
Click the blue “Sign” button to continue the in-person signing process.
Click “Continue” to pass the control to your client, who must sign the document.
You will see the following screen if SMS authentication is turned on to sign the document.
Click on “SEND SMS” to receive the code on your phone.
If you don’t have SMS authentication, this step will be skipped.
Enter the code received from your phone.
You may continue to sign the document by tick on the “agree to use electronic records and signatures” and click “CONTINUE” to sign
After finishing signing, you may choose to 1 “Print a copy” or 2 “email a copy to yourself.”
