Overview
The Macquarie Cash ESI Feed is a free service which allows users to receive a daily data feed from Macquarie Bank. Unlike the Macquarie bank feed available through the BGL Bank Data Service, the Macquarie Cash ESI Feed does not require a subscription to the BGL Bank Data Pack and involves a different setup process outlined below.
The Macquarie Cash ESI Feed will provide up to three years of historical data on the bank account.
*Macquarie Bank offers bank data feeds through two different services (BGL Bank Data Service and the Macquarie Cash ESI Feed). For more information on both data feed options, please click here.
Authority Process
To set up a Macquarie Cash ESI Feed in Simple Fund 360, you will first need to ensure that the bank account is linked to an Advisor account on the Macquarie Cash website.
An authority form can be downloaded from here to distribute to your clients for signing. Once the form has been filled out, it will need to be sent directly to Macquarie Bank at either the electronic or physical address provided at the top of the form.
Generating ESI Credentials
Important!
-
Note that ESI credentials generated from the Macquarie Adviser Online Portal will apply to both Cash and Wrap accounts that the adviser has access to. Please note that if the adviser requires feeds for both bank and wrap accounts, the ESI credentials generated from the Macquarie Adviser Online Portal will still need to be entered twice within the Provider Settings as two separate records. One for ‘Macquarie Cash', and one for ‘Macquarie Wrap’.
-
The Authentication details generated from the Macquarie website expire on a yearly basis. Therefore, every year these details need to be regenerated from the Macquarie website and re-entered into Simple Fund 360.
Once the advisor is authorised to access the necessary bank accounts, the advisor will be able to generate a set of Macquarie ESI Authentication credentials which will apply to all bank accounts under that adviser. To generate the Macquarie ESI Authentication details, please refer to the steps below.
-
From the Macquarie website main page, click on ‘Log in’, select ‘Advisers’, and then ‘Adviser Online’ to enter your login details and access the Adviser Portal.
-
In Adviser Online, select the profile icon from the right side of the top menu, then ‘ESI details’.
-
Select ‘Generate new code’.
-
Select ‘Send’.
-
Enter the secure code received by SMS, then select ‘Submit’.
-
The details will be displayed on the screen. Users should note down or copy the displayed ESI Authentication details so they can be entered into Simple Fund 360.

-
From the Feed Management screen, locate the bank account within the Entity Summary or Bank Feeds Global and click the blue ‘(+) Setup’ button to the right of the bank account.

If data for this bank account has already been entered manually, make sure to enter a ‘Do Not Import Data Before’ date to prevent the feed from duplicating with your manual work. This is because the Macquarie Cash ESI feed will provide historical data.
