Commuting and restarting pension
Client has a retirement pension account and an accumulation account. He wishes to add his accumulation balance to his pension. I propose to :
Commute the current pension to the accumulation account
Restart the pension using the full amount of the updated accumulation account (original pension balance + accumulation)
There are no TBC issues and member is over 65 and all transactions will take place on 1 July.
Is this the correct procedure?

Hi Ian,
Thanks for reaching out! Happy to confirm the process for you.
Yes, that's the correct procedure. In Simple Fund 360, commute the current pension back to accumulation, then commence a new pension using the combined accumulation balance. As both transactions are on 1 July, you don't need to run Create Entries beforehand.
See How to create a pension from a contribution received on the same day? for the full process.
