    Hi Karen,

Thanks for reaching out about this. It's a common situation once a fund's had a few pension restructures over the years.

The short answer is: Simple Fund 360 doesn't have a report setting to "hide" zero balance accounts, but you can effectively archive them by adding an End Date to each of the pension accounts that no longer has a balance.

    Here's how:

    1. Go to the Member List and edit the zero-balance pension account.
    2. Under Account Details, confirm the balance is nil (it sounds like these already are).
    3. Enter a date in the End Date field, ideally the date the account's balance became nil.
    4. Scroll down and Save.

Adding the End Date tells Simple Fund 360 the account is no longer active, so it will stop appearing on Members Statements and other member reports going forward, but the account and its historical transactions stay in the fund, so you won't lose any of that prior year data or audit trail.

    A couple of notes:

    • If any of those accounts show a balance other than zero for some reason, you'll need to clear it first (e.g. via an internal transfer/commutation) before the End Date will save.
    • The same process applies whether it's a pension or accumulation account that needs closing off.

For more detail, these two articles cover it well:

Hope that clears it up! Let us know how you get on or if the accounts are still showing a balance and you need a hand clearing that first.
